The default when nothing is authored or overridden.
miter is exact and blending-mode agnostic, leaves free polyline ends
untouched, and is gated in-shader by both a rendered-width threshold and a
miter limit — so every existing scene improves without re-authoring. The
overhead a joint pays is one extra texelFetch and one extra projection per
vertex, and the rendered-width gate compiles it out of the whole draw below
LINE_JOIN_MIN_HALF_WIDTH, so thin-line scenes — which are the
million-segment ones — pay nothing at all. No frame-time figure is quoted
here because the perf suite has no lineJoin axis to measure one with.
