authored LUT (LayerInfo.customLut): only a layer that has one can take
it — and, when copying another layer's palette (sourceLut), only one whose LUT
holds the same bytes. Stamped anywhere else it would render viridis under the
name custom and leave the dropdown blank. Every other name (or none) applies
to any layer.
