Compute the pick render target size from the renderer's drawing-buffer
size: half resolution, capped at MAX_PICK_BUFFER_DIM on the larger
axis, never smaller than 1 pixel.
The cap is applied as a SINGLE uniform scale on both axes so the pick
buffer always preserves the drawing-buffer (= camera) aspect ratio.
All four geometry types now pick through the aspect-aware
projectionMatrix (the gsplat pick shader once mapped view space with a
square-pixel focal length, which displaced picks off-centre in a pick
buffer of a different aspect); aspect-preserving sizing keeps the
pick buffer a uniform downscale of what the user sees.
