Whether the scene manager is recomputing near / far from the scene
bounds every frame. While it is, a pose's clipping planes are stale by
construction — they describe the distance the pose was CAPTURED at — and
writing them would clip geometry until the per-frame update catches up.
Tolerates test doubles that do not model the method.
